Twenty Years of Rendezvous
From a single gathering in London to the world’s longest-running international parkour event. This is the story.
The First Ever Rendezvous
2006. The gathering that started everything. Watch the original Rendezvous and see where twenty years of community began.
Where It Started
In 2006, Parkour Generations had a simple idea: unite the French founders and the British pioneers in one place for a day of teaching, training and community. No competition. No spectacle. Just movement, community, and the exchange of knowledge between people who cared deeply about the discipline.
What happened was Rendezvous. And it has not stopped since.
Every year, the global parkour community converges on London for three days of immersive training. The format has evolved. The venues have changed. The coaches have rotated. But the core of what RDV is has never shifted: a commitment to the depth and seriousness of parkour as a physical and philosophical practice, and to the power of community in sustaining it.
In 2026, Rendezvous turns 20. It is the oldest international parkour gathering in the world. And it is still getting deeper.
More than 40 RDV events worldwide.

The History of RDV
Rendezvous is Born
Parkour Generations organises the first ever Rendezvous gathering in London. A small but extraordinary event that brings together some of the world’s most serious practitioners and founders for three days of training, exchange and community. Scroll down to see the video of that event.
The Word Spreads
The second Rendezvous becomes a 2-day workshop. The event begins to establish itself as the genuine international gathering.
International Coaches Join
Known affectionately as ‘Raindezvous’, it’s 2 days of training in the rain at London’s Southbank Centre led by the Yamakasi, PKGen and the likes of Danny Ilabaca. The gathering’s identity as a platform for elite coaching exchange is firmly established.
The Format Takes Shape
The numbers soar into the hundreds as Southbank Centre hosts again. The event goes international with the first American Rendezvous happening in the USA, Rendezvous Latin America in Brasil and Asia Rendezvous in South Korea. The international community deepens.
London’s Biggest RDV
With the Olympic Games in London that summer, RDV 2012 becomes the largest gathering to date. The event runs across iconic London locations including the famed LEAP Parkour Park and draws practitioners from more countries than any previous edition.
A Decade of Community
The UK event reaches its tenth year. Veteran practitioners who attended the first gatherings now return as coaches. A second generation of the RDV community begins to emerge. The tradition holds.
The Intensive Format
Rendezvous deepens its format, with a specific focus each year. Barefoot Rendezvous, Tactical Rendezvous, and others. Practitioners report the most transformative RDV experiences yet.
Adaptation
The global pandemic forces RDV to adapt, with 2 years passing without any global event. The community finds ways to stay connected and to keep the tradition alive through changed circumstances. The event survives. The community proves its resilience.
Return and Renewal
Rendezvous returns to full form. New coaches. New faces. New chapters. And the same tradition that began in 2006: the gathering, the exchange, the group challenge, the dinner, the community.
Two Decades
The 20th Rendezvous. Twenty consecutive years of gathering the international parkour community in London. The deepest edition yet, with the introduction of the Legacy Pass to celebrate those who have been part of the tradition and to ensure the next generation can be too.
The RDV Logos
Each edition of Rendezvous has had its own visual identity. Eighteen editions of the world’s original parkour gathering.

“Rendezvous is not an event you attend. It is an experience that changes the way you move and the way you think about movement. Every year, without fail.”
